Development status
What works now, and what does not yet. Where we stand on the roadmap, centred on slope sensing, and what remains to be verified.
Current phase
Following technical studies, we are now prototyping the sensing device. Evaluation and field testing follow.

Three technology areas
We see our work in three areas: sensing as the foundation, with data integration and analysis, and AI and decision support built on top. Our main development focus today is sensing.
What we are working on
- In development
Enclosure
Design and fabrication of the prototype.
- In development
Sensor configuration
Combining measurements and sensors.
- In development
Installation method
How to install to a depth of about 1 m.
- In development
Communication
Data transmission from the above-ground unit.
- In development
Data platform
Continuous measurement and data storage.
- Under consideration
Analysis method
Approach to processing and visualising the data.
- Under consideration
Required accuracy
Accuracy and sampling frequency needed for each use.
What remains to be verified
Items that must be confirmed through field measurement. No results are available yet.
-
Measurement accuracy
Validity of measured values.
-
On-site installability
Ease of installation on real slopes.
-
Environmental durability
Resistance to temperature, humidity and rainfall.
-
Communication reliability
Stability in field conditions.
-
Long-term operation
Power and equipment over extended periods.
-
Relationship to slope condition
How measurements relate to changes within the slope.
-
Value of the data
Identifying meaningful phenomena and turning them into value.
-
Placement method
Approach to density and positioning.
Field testing
Through field testing, we aim to reach the point at which PoC can be proposed to municipal and prefectural governments, infrastructure operators and others. We intend to adapt PoC units to conditions at each site. We are looking for field-testing partners and welcome enquiries about research and technical collaboration at any time.
Research & technical collaboration
We envisage research, technical and business collaboration with organisations such as the following, including local governments that manage slopes (such as prefectures) and the contractors that maintain those slopes.
